BOTOX® Cosmetic Facial Rejuvenation

Unlike dermal fillers, BOTOX® Cosmetic works by blocking nerve impulses to the facial muscles that contract and cause wrinkling and creasing of the skin. For most patients who undergo BOTOX® treatments, there is little pain and no significant recovery time after receiving the injections. Collagen
Collagen is a protein that occurs naturally in the human body and is responsible for skin elasticity. As people age, the existing collagen in their skin breaks down, allowing skin to sag and wrinkle. Dr. Fisher offers collagen replacement injections at San Antonio Plastic Surgery Center to restore the texture and youthful appearance of the skin.
Collagen injections have been in use for decades and have been proven to be a safe and effective alternative to facelift surgery that can reduce the appearance of facial scars, fine wrinkles, and moderately deep lines. Since the collagen used for replacement injections is normally derived from animal sources, skin tests will be conducted before full treatment to make sure the patient is not allergic to the product.

Restylane®
Restylane® is one of the newest dermal fillers, ideal for plumping the skin to smooth out wrinkles and for creating fuller lips. This FDA-approved, biodegradable gel contains no animal proteins, is extremely safe, and requires no testing. It gently smoothes away fine lines around the lips and mouth and on the forehead, leaving no scars at the injection sites.
The original Restylane® is primarily used for lip enhancement (especially to prevent lipstick “bleeding”) and wrinkle correction. Restylane® Fine Lines is most effective in filling fine, superficial lines in the chin and cheeks, and Restylane® Perlane is used for shaping facial contours and for lip augmentation.
Performed in 30-minute sessions, Restylane® treatments are long-lasting and can be repeated as necessary, typically every six to 12 months.
Fat Injections
Fat can be used to fill in wrinkles and lines, to create contours in the face, and to fill in scars. Because the fat is used from one area of a patient's body to fill in another, there is little chance of allergy or incompatibility. Fat injections are usually done on an outpatient basis with local anesthetic and sedation.
Laser Resurfacing
Laser skin resurfacing is a treatment that can result in smoother, firmer skin with fewer signs of sun damage or age. The laser technology used is very safe and highly effective, and works by removing the outermost layers of skin and revealing the newer, fresher skin beneath. The procedure can reduce or eliminate wrinkling, age spots, sun damage, and some types of acne scars.
Chemical Peels San Antonio
