Breast Augmentation in San Antonio

The Breast Augmentation Procedure
Breast augmentation is performed at our San Antonio center on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia, usually in about an hour to an hour and a half. The patient is typically discharged about two hours after the surgery and should not shower until after the follow-up appointment two or three days later. During this meeting, Dr. Fisher will evaluate the patient’s progress and provide additional instructions. Ten days later, sutures are removed. For the first six weeks following breast augmentation, the patient should not wear an underwire bra and should avoid exercising.
To conceal the scars of breast augmentation surgery, Dr. Fisher will make incisions around the edge of the areola, along the crease under the breast, or in the armpit. The implant can be placed either under the muscle or under the breast tissue. Normally, Dr. Fisher uses smooth, round implants filled with a saline solution similar to the natural saline fluid found in most cells of the human body. In the rare instances of leakage, saline implants pose little of the health risk associated with silicone implants. Breast Reduction

The Breast Reduction Procedure
