Enhance Your Breast Size and Shape with Breast Augmentation
A woman who feels her breasts are not proportionate to the rest of her figure can achieve an enhanced sense of femininity and beauty with a breast augmentation procedure performed at our San Antonio, TX, practice. Dr. Peter Fisher is a renowned surgeon who can tailor surgery to your specific goals.
Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure that can be used to increase the size and sometimes enhance the shape of a woman’s breasts. The result is a better-defined breast profile, a more balanced figure, and an increased sense of self-confidence. The re-introduction of silicone implants in 2008 allows the patient a choice of a large array of implants to choose from, including saline implants which still seem to be more popular with patients. With this re-introduction I am now more comfortable in placing silicone implants on top of the muscle in indicated patients.
We encourage all patients to call or visit at no further cost, to answer any further questions the patient may have.
At your consultation Dr. Fisher spends as much time as needed taking your history and examining you. You are then sized choosing what you and he feel is appropriate for what you desire. He is careful not to do as he wishes but what you wish. Implant and incision placement is then discussed. Post-operative course as well as recovery time is discussed. This is variable depending on the size and implant position. In general however most patients should be comfortable returning to work in one week.
Procedure & post-operative course
Breast augmentation is performed as an outpatient under general anesthesia, usually in about an hour to an hour and a half. The patient is typically discharged about two hours after the surgery. Patients may shower 48 hours after surgery but may not wash their hair themselves. The first post-operative visit is three to four days after your surgery. During this meeting, Dr. Fisher will evaluate the patient’s progress and provide massage instructions. Ten days later, sutures are removed. For the first six weeks following breast augmentation, the patient should not wear an underwire bra and should avoid exercising.
Dr. Fisher has been available to answer all of my questions and provide me with not only professional medical expertise, but also a much appreciated level of personal empathy. I would 100% recommend Dr. Fisher to anyone who is considering plastic surgery.Brandi
